A child will be released only to the parent or his/her legal guardian unless otherwise indicated on the registration form
- Activities within the program will be monitored and adjusted accordingly, in Consultation with parents, daycare staff and other involved professionals to promote on going development. Positive guidance techniques will be used to encourage appropriate behavior.
We value our child’s health as well as the health of the staff, without healthy staff we are unable to provide effective care. If a child becomes sick at daycare, the parent or if parent is unable to be reached the person authorized to pick up in the case of an emergency will be called and asked to sick up the child. The staff will isolate the child from the other children and make him/her as comfortable as possible , but will not administer medication.
Please keep the child at home until he/she is well enough to attend. Any medicine required to treat above symptoms will mean the child is to attend daycare. Example of medicine : Gravol, Tempera, Tylenol.
Parents /Guardians need to inform the daycare staff in writing if their child has any allergies.
Incase of emergency, we have the emergency kit that contains enough supplies to take care of all the children in the daycare and the staff for atleast 72 hours.
Future step child care is closed on all statutory holidays (no fees deduction) . Future step child care will consent to up to 2 weeks of scheduled holidays per fiscal year at reduced fees with at least 2 weeks written prior notice.
- Ifparental custody of a child is shared or limited, it is very important to make sure that you have copies of all court orders or documents that describe the These documents must be placed in the child ‘s file and the information shared with any staff that will be responsible for releasing the child from the centre.
- It is the responsibility of a Child Care provider to keep accurate and up to date records for every child
- Set up a secure file system that contains records for children who are attending the centre
- Ensure that children’s records are complete and up to date
- Make sure that each child has a file that contains the required information
- Protect confidential information contained in a child’s file
- Share information about a child that is important to a child ‘s heath, safety and well being with staff
- Record observational notes about each child in child’s file
Fees are to be paid within first week of each month or applying for child care subsidy; it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to fulfill all the requirements of the Child Care Subsidy Branch to maintain the daycare subsidy. If not eligible for subsidy, the parent/guardian is responsible for the fees. Fees are based on enrollment not attendance NO fees deduction for sick/missed days or statutory holidays.
Licensed child care programs must limit screen time(TV, computer, electronic games) to 30 minutes or less a day .
Future step child care limits screen time to 15-20 mins every day
